Scouting report

SEA RB Zach Charbonnet - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Minnesota Vikings

Medical reports on the Seahawks backfield this week would seem to suggest that Zach Charbonnet might be limited this week and that Kenneth Walker might be set to return to the lineup. If both of these come to pass, it will be a nuisance for fantasy managers of both, especially with the Vikings ranking sixth in aFPA to running backs. Charbonnet might be a mid-tier RB2 option if he plays and Walker doesn't. But if Walker is healthy, Charbonnet is essentially unusable.

SEA RB Zach Charbonnet - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Green Bay Packers

Say this about Zach Charbonnet, he certainly seems to take advantage of his opportunities. In games that Kenneth Walker has missed this season, Charbonnet averages close to 25 Half-PPR points. He could be in line for a big workload in Week 15, keeping him in the RB1 conversation, even in a clash with a Packers side that ranks just outside the top ten in aFPA to running backs.

SEA RB Zach Charbonnet - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Arizona Cardinals

Zach Charbonnet is the RB39 in Half-PPR points per game this season and has scored more than 9.9 points in a game once in his last nine outings. The Cardinals, the Seahawks opponents in Week 14, rank 17th in aFPA to running backs this season, but Charbonnet is a touchdown-dependent option given his timeshare behind Kenneth Walker in this backfield. He’s a very low-end RB3 option this week.

SEA RB Zach Charbonnet - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New York Jets

Zach Charbonnet has offered virtually nothing in fantasy terms this season, especially in games where he has sat behind Kenneth Walker. Charbonnet averages 4.3 Half-PPR points per game in 2024 and doesn’t project to do much better against the Jets. It’s not a bad matchup, with the Jets ranking 15th in aFPA to running backs, but Charbonnet would need something to befall Walker and get the backfield all to himself to be fantasy viable. He’s a desperation RB4 in Week 13.

SEA RB Zach Charbonnet - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Arizona Cardinals

Zach Charbonnet is nothing more than a breather back for Kenneth Walker, and this is evidenced by his 5.2 Half PPR points per game over the last four weeks. If he was the lead back for the Seahawks, a clash with a Cardinals side that ranks 21st in aFPA to running backs would be a mouth-watering prospect. But as Walker is healthy, it’s hard to trust Charbonnet as anything more than a low-end RB3 who managers are praying for a touchdown from.

SEA RB Zach Charbonnet - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers rank 22nd in aFPA to running backs, which makes them a team one would usually target when selecting a weekly starter. But Zach Charbonnet is not in an equal partnership in the Seahawks backfield, and his 9.2 Half-PPR points per game average this season would seem to be the best we can project for him this week. He’s an RB4/Flex option if you need him.

SEA RB Zach Charbonnet - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Los Angeles Rams

Zach Charbonnet continues to operate well behind Kenneth Walker in the Seahawks backfield, although he did manage the teams only touchdown a week ago which helped him to finish as the RB29, in line with his seasonal rank of RB32 in Half-PPR points per game. The Seahawks face a Rams team that ranks 20th in aFPA to running backs this season but trusting Charbonnet as anything more than a RB3/Flex option seems a risky way to do business.
