Scouting report

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Tampa Bay
Zack Moss is healthy and had double-digit touches for the first time since Week 8. That's not saying much because the production wasn't really there, but at least it puts him back on the fantas map.

Moss faces the Buccaneers who are ranked 12th in aFPA to running backs. The good news is Moss has moved back to the top of the Buffalo running back depth chart but the Bills still don't really use their running backs as much as they probably should and he will still split time with the other backs. Keep Moss on the bench for Week 14.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New Orleans

Zack Moss has fallen off the fantasy map the past couple of weeks. He only had three touches in the loss to the Colts, a game that got away from Buffalo early. Moss played only 29% of the snaps which was the lowest of the three Buffalo running backs. We will have to see how this plays out, but we expect Moss' workload to go back up on Thursday as he still is the best overall option for Buffalo at the position.

Moss has a rough matchup against the Saints who are No. 1 in aFPA to running backs. Although we could see Moss get his touches back, we don't expect much success with the matchup on Thursday night. Keep Moss on the bench for Week 12.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Indianapolis
Zack Moss had only seven touches on Sunday, but he did score a touchdown to save his fantasy day. He has been banged up and has been on the field for less than 50% of the snaps the past two weeks. We will keep an eye on his usage which always is an issue because of the way Buffalo uses their running backs.

Moss faces the Colts who are ranked 5th in aFPA to running backs. Indy has been very good against the run and struggled against the pass which will not help Moss' numbers.

Start Moss for Week 11, but only as an RB3 or flex. Until we see his touches back around 15, his fantasy value is lowered.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Jacksonville
Zack Moss had 14 touches last week which has been the norm for him. He ended up better in the passing game and a total of 58 yards from scrimmage. It's three straight games without a touchdown for Moss. He continues to get the majority of snaps at running back which has elevated his fantasy stock over recent weeks.

Moss will face Jacksonville who is ranked 21st in aFPA to running back. Buffalo should have another big week on offense and Moss should be a part of that.

Start Moss as solid RB2 for Week 9. The fact that he is getting more snaps than Devin Singletary along with a favorable matchup should allow him to help your team in that role.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Miami
Zack Moss was quiet against Tennessee before the bye week with only 10 touches for 39 yards. It was his worst fantasy outing since back in the first meeting with Miami, this week's opponent. Buffalo should be better offensively with a week off and back at home.

The Dolphins are ranked 23rd in aFPA to running backs so it is a favorable matchup for the Buffalo backs. Moss is still getting more snaps than teammate Devin Singletary and is the short-yardage and goal-line back.

Start Moss for Week 8 against Miami as a low-end RB2.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Tennessee
Zack Moss has separated himself from Devin Singletary as far as stats are concerned. Moss played 74% of the snaps compared to 26% for Singletary. And the numbers reflect that. He had 14 touches for 92 yards and it was the third straight game with double-digit carries.

Moss faces the Titans who are ranked 20th in aFPA to running backs. He is definitely the short-yardage back and is getting more attention in the passing game.

Start Moss as a solid RB2 for Week 6 as he has a favorable matchup and he seems to be the back the Bills coaching staff is leaning towards for more production.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Kansas City

Zack Moss has been consistent in the three games he has played. He had 14 touches which produced 61 yards and a touchdown - his fourth TD of the season. Moss is the goal line guy and even though he only has six targets this season, we still expect to get more involved in the passing game.

It's a great matchup for the Bills running backs as Moss faces the Chiefs who are 23rd in aFPA to running backs. Buffalo's offense has been on a roll and the backs have been more involved than in recent seasons.

Start Moss as a high-end RB3 or flex for Week 5. The only downside is he is still splitting time with Devin Singletary but the touches he has gotten has produced good fantasy numbers.
