Scouting report

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Pittsburgh
After an early fumble last Monday, Zach Moss found himself on the sidelines for most of the game. He had been playing more than 50% of the snaps for the past month but that fell to 15%. Devin Singletary saw most of the action.

The Bills face a Steelers defense that is ranked 8th in aFPA to running backs. If Moss doesn't get the snaps, it will be tough for him to earn any fantasy points.

Keep Moss on the bench for Week 14. We are not giving up on him for the season, but the Bills have been going with the hot hand at running back and right now that's Singletary.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. San Francisco
Zack Moss rushed nine times for 59 yards as he played 60% of the offensive snaps against the Rams. The running game is still isn't clicking for Buffalo and even though Moss seems to be the No. 1 back at this point. He keeps splitting time with Devin Singletary and together they are still don't put up great numbers.

Moss will face the 49ers who are 6th in aFPA to running backs. Moss has some value for Monday as an RB3 or flex, but it has been a struggle against good defenses and San Francisco has a favorable matchup for Week 13.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Zack Moss might be slightly ahead in the pecking order for running backs for Buffalo, but the position has not been playing well in recent weeks no matter who is getting the touches. The Bills have had a back go over 50 yards only once in the last five games. Maybe the bye week will help the Bills figure out the running game.

Moss will face the Chargers who are 25th in aFPA to running backs. The favorable matchup should give him some opportunities to have success on Sunday. But it still has been frustrating for everyone involved.

Start Moss as a high-end RB3 or flex in standard leagues and lower ranking in PPR leagues. Until we actually see some more success from Moss and the running backs, it's hard to rank him any higher.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Seattle
Zack Moss had 14 carries for 85 yards which were career highs for him. He also scored his first two career touchdowns. Moss played more snaps than Devin Singletary for the first time this season. It seems there could be a shift to Moss from Singletary as the first and second-down back. Singletary will still handle third downs so he has more value in PPR leagues

It will be a tough matchup for Moss this week as he faces the Seahawks who are ranked 3rd in aFPA to running backs. His stock is definitely rising.

Start Moss as an RB3 or flex for Week 9. The biggest issue is the backs are pretty much being used 50/50 at this point, but he has more value at this point.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Patriots
Zack Moss returned to his regular workload this past Sunday playing 47% of the snaps. He had 10 touches for 72 yards which outgained starter Devin Singletary. Buffalo failed to score a touchdown so Moss was shut out in that department, but his stock definitely rises considering he will be the short-yardage back like he was at the beginning of the season.

Moss will face New England who is ranked 15th in aFPA to running backs. We expect more of the same from Buffalo's usage of Moss. Ten touches will be the norm and this week that is not enough to consider him for your starting lineup. Keep Moss on the bench for Week 8.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at New York Jets
Zack Moss returned last week with five carries for 10 yards. The rookie should return to his role as the short-yardage back which could produce some value. However, we want to wait and see what the Bills do with him and Devin Singletary as far as touches and situations.

In the first meeting with the Jets this season, Moss had 12 touches for 27 yards and a touchdown. New York's defense is bad right now and there should be some opportunities for Bills skill players.

With that said, Moss has not really produced much in 2020 and the Buffalo backs seem an after thought in the game plan. Keep Moss on the bench for Week 7 as he ranks as a depth player at this point.

BUF RB Zack Moss - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Los Angeles Rams
Zach Moss has been ruled out for Week 3 so be sure to get him out of your lineups.
