BAL WR Zay Flowers - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Zay Flowers was held to just 25 yards receiving against the Chargers before the bye last week, but he still put up big fantasy numbers. He had five receptions and a touchdown in the passing game, and added a late-game 37-yard touchdown run to seal the victory for the Ravens. It was good to see Flowers find the end zone twice, as he’d only hit pay dirt once prior. Flowers is heavily used in the offense with 80 targets this season, but he’s been inconsistent in his production and often catches balls at the line of scrimmage.

This week, Flowers faces a Rams defense that ranks seventh in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Despite the tough matchup, Flowers has a nice floor as a target hog in this offense, particularly in PPR leagues. Fantasy managers should consider him a fringe-WR2 or solid WR3 option this week.

BAL WR Zay Flowers - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Los Angeles Chargers

Zay Flowers had three catches and a carry for 50 yards last week against the Bengals. Flowers continues to be an intriguing talent in this offense, but that talent and position in the offense has yet to produce consistent fantasy production. Flowers has just one touchdown all year and has yet to eclipse 100 yards in a single game.

This week, Flowers has a great matchup against the Chargers, who rank 27th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Expect a high-scoring affair between two potent offenses, which should increase the opportunities for Flowers to find the end zone for the second time. In an inconsistent offense, we wouldn’t bank on him as more than a WR3 or flex option, but the matchup gives him significant upside.

BAL WR Zay Flowers - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Zay Flowers caught five of his six targets last week for 73 yards. It was good to see him back to solid yardage numbers after two dismal games preceding the loss to the Browns, but he’s still not putting up huge numbers. Despite averaging 6.8 targets this season, he’s yet to eclipse 100 yards in a single game and has just one touchdown all year.

This week, Flowers faces a Cincinnati defense that ranks 19th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Flowers continues to be the best receiver in Baltimore, but that may not be good enough for consistent fantasy production. In a decent matchup, with a solid target share, he has fantasy value, but consider him in the WR3 range.

BAL WR Zay Flowers - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Cleveland Browns

Zay Flowers was targeted just once last week against the Seahawks, as the Ravens defense and ground attack destroyed Seattle in a lopsided victory. Flowers has had subpar games two weeks in a row, and it doesn’t help that the Ravens are steamrolling teams and leaning on Gus Edwards and the run game.

Flowers has a tough matchup this week against the Browns. Cleveland ranks fifth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Expect Flowers to have better days ahead, but be careful trusting him against such a great defense. This could be a low-scoring affair, and treat Flowers as a low-end WR3 as a result.

BAL WR Zay Flowers - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Zay Flowers was limited to just 19 yards last week, the lowest of his young career, in a one-sided victory over the Cardinals. He was still targeted seven times, however, and caught five balls, salvaging his fantasy totals in PPR formats. Flowers has been easily the most used wide receiver in the Baltimore offense this year, and there’s a concerted effort to get the ball in the young playmaker’s hands.

This week, Flowers faces a Seattle defense that ranks 26th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. In a great matchup and in a game that should be a bit more competitive, expect another slew of targets to head in Flowers’ direction. We have him ranked as a fringe-WR2 option and he’s worth starting in most leagues.

BAL WR Zay Flowers - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Arizona Cardinals

Zay Flowers caught four of his six targets for 75 yards last week against the Lions. It was a lopsided victory for the Ravens, and it was good to see Flowers rack up six targets, despite just 28 pass attempts for the ultra-efficient Lamar Jackson.

This week, Flowers has a great matchup against an Arizona defense that ranks 27th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Flowers has been reasonably steady, given the inconsistent production of the Baltimore passing game this year, and we have him ranked as a low-end WR2 option in a great matchup. Start him.

BAL WR Zay Flowers - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Detroit Lions

Zay Flowers scored his first touchdown of his young career last week against the Titans in London. He caught six of his eight targets for 50 yards and now has 48 targets in six games. That’s 14 more than Mark Andrews, who is second on the team - albeit in one fewer game. The Ravens are finding ways to get the ball to Flowers in space, and his PPR value is blossoming more every week.

This week, Flowers faces a Detroit defense that ranks 23rd in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Expect a busy day for the Baltimore passing game, which should lead to additional targets for the youngster. We have him ranked as a quality WR2 option in all leagues, with a little bump in full PPR.
