SF QB Brandon Allen - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Green Bay Packers

A shoulder injury will keep Brock Purdy out of this week's game against the Packers. So Brandon Allen gets the start, his first since 2021 with the Bengals. Allen is 2-7 as a starter. He does have the benefit of being in a Kyle Shanahan offense. But don't be surprised if the 49ers feed Christian McCaffrey. Allen is a far cry from Purdy. He could have some streaming upside, but he's closer to the fantasy bench than a starting spot.

DEN QB Brandon Allen - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Brandon Allen and the Broncos offense had all sorts of trouble in Buffalo last week, generating just 134 total yards and three points. Against a good defense, Allen completed only 10 passes for 82 yards and rushed for eight yards. The QB and his mobility helped light a spark for Denver in his first two starts, something the team will need at home versus the Chargers No. 4 pass defense. Joe Flacco threw for less than 200 yards with a TD in the Week 5 win at Los Angeles, but Allen should only be in your starting lineup if you’re desperate.

DEN QB Brandon Allen - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Buffalo Bills
In the tough loss to the Vikings last week, Brandon Allen helped the Broncos build a 20-point first-half lead. He finished with 240 yards and a TD through the air and 18 rushing yards. The designed rollouts allowed Allen to only have to worry about half of the field, making his reads simpler. And, his mobility, something the Broncos didn’t have with Joe Flacco at QB, has helped with the creativity for the offense. Don’t get too excited about adding Allen to your starting lineup though, as he’ll be facing a Buffalo D that’s No. 3 versus the pass, allowing less than 200 yards per game.

DEN QB Brandon Allen - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Minnesota Vikings
In his first NFL regular-season action, Brandon Allen did enough to help lead his team to victory over the Browns two weeks ago. While he completed only 12 passes, they went for nearly 200 yards and two TDs. Allen’s mobility was a blessing to Denver’s struggling offensive line who had been used to having Joe Flacco under center. Now that he’s had a few weeks to practice with the first team, Allen should have a better understanding of the offense. However, on the road in a hostile environment against the No. 13 overall defense could result in a long afternoon.

DEN QB Brandon Allen - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – Brandon Allen vs. Cleveland Browns
With Joe Flacco out due to a sore neck, Branden Allen will not only be making his first NFL start, but see his initial regular-season action. The 27-year-old holds the Arkansas career passing TD record with 64, 30 of which came during his senior season in ’15. He was drafted by the Jaguars in the sixth round and spent time with the Rams organization. If Flacco thought the Broncos play-calling was conservative last week, expect the offense to be even more vanilla with a new signal-caller. There's no need for you to pick Allen up off waivers, especially facing Myles Garrett and the No. 7 pass defense.
