ARI RB James Conner - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 @ Los Angeles Rams
James Conner has been on the injury report all week long, but it's looking like he'll be cleared by kickoff in Los Angeles. With Trey Benson also popping up with his own ailments, Conner has a chance to stretch his 19+ opportunity streak to five games against a tough Rams defense. Even on volume alone, he can be considered a solid RB2 in Week 17.

ARI RB James Conner - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 @ Carolina Panthers
James Conner's workload might actually somehow *grow* in Week 16, with both Emari Demercado (IR) and Trey Benson missing this matchup, and it comes against a Panthers defense that ranks 29th in RB aFPA. Not only is Conner a must-start, he has a chance to be the overall RB1 this week.

ARI RB James Conner - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. New England Patriots
James Conner's eight rushing yards on seven carries back in Week 12 but a damper on what had been a great stretch of games, but he came out of that disappointing endeavor by scoring 31.8 points in the following two games, with continued pass-game usage. He should continue rolling right along against a Patriots defense that ranks 26th in RB aFPA, locking him into high-end RB2 status.

ARI RB James Conner - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Seattle Seahawks
James Conner's usage predictably bounced back after a miserable Week 12 on the ground, jumping back over 20 opportunities for the seventh time last week. The Seahawks currently rank 23rd in RB aFPA but it's worth pointing out that this same defense held him to eight yards on seven carries in that Week 12 matchup. We don't expect the same outcome in Week 14 and should consider him a fringe RB1/2.

ARI RB James Conner - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 @ Minnesota Vikings
Week 12 was quite the down week for James Conner, whose four-game streak of 17+ opportunities fell flat as he turned seven rush attempts into eight yards. Luckily, fantasy managers were saved by his five targets (5-41-0), which kept his floor afloat. He's got a very difficult matchup here in Week 13 against a Vikings defense that ranks 2nd in RB aFPA, which pushes him out of RB1 territory into low-end RB2 consideration. It's unlikely that one poor performance will push Trey Benson into the forefront, but it's something to keep in mind if he comes up empty again.

James Conner continued his stranglehold over the backfield with his third-straight game of 20+ opportunities; and that was without playing in the entire 4th quarter. His ankle injury could still be in play by the time this game kicks off, so consider him more of a low-end RB2 than his typical fringe RB1/2 self in Week 10.
