Week 8 vs. Washington Commanders
Sam Ehlinger had three rushes for nine yards and zero passes last season as a rookie, but he’ll still take over as the starter in Indianapolis for the foreseeable future. The Colts must see something they like. He has some upside as a gutsy playmaker who ran for 1,903 yards in four years at Texas to go with a college career 94/27 TD/Interception ratio. Time will tell if he can turn this offense around.
Ehlinger will get a nice matchup to kickoff his career as an NFL starter, facing a Commanders defense that ranks 28th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. If you’re desperate, there’s potential for quality play from Ehlinger, but fantasy managers should take a wait-and-see approach and we have him ranked as a low-end QB2 option for Week 8.
