Scouting report

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Dallas Cowboys

A big day last week (nine catches, 159 yards, two touchdowns) kept Mike Evans' hopes alive for another 1,000-yard season. He now only needs to average about 83 yards per game over the final three weeks. A date with the Cowboys should very well keep Evans on track, if not make the path much easier over the final two weeks at home against the Panthers and Saints. Dallas is allowing the second-most fantasy points (32.5 ppg) to wide receivers this season. Only the Bucs' NFC South foes, the Falcons, are allowing more. As long as Baker Mayfield keeps peppering Evans with targets, Evans will be a reliable fantasy playoff option.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Los Angeles Chargers

Mike Evans' 1,000-yard season streak is in serious jeopardy. He needs to average 102.5 yards over his last four games. Still, he remains a very solid fantasy option as one of the few reliable options in the Buccaneers' offense and looks to be over his hamstring injury as he does not have a game designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers. He's a top-10 option against a Chargers offense that ranks 17th against opposing wide receivers in fantasy. He has posted over 60 yards in three games since returning from that hamstring injury.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Mike Evans finally broke the century mark this season, going for 118 yards on eight catches and a touchdown against the Panthers. However, Evans is again dealing with a hamstring injury, as well as a calf issue and did not practice Wednesday and Thursday. He is practicing Friday, so keep a close eye on his injury and game status this weekend. If he can play, he's got a very nice matchup against a Raiders defense that has allowed 21 passing touchdowns this season. Evans is a top-10 receiver for us this week, but again, double-check the injury report and inactives this weekend, which we'll have for you Sunday. Tampa plays in the early window.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Carolina Panthers

Mike Evans caught five passes for 68 yards in his first game back from injury, as he easily reclaimed the WR1 role. He needs 597 yards in his last six games to extend his 1,000-yard streak. He'll look to improve his positioning from that standpoint against the Panthers, who are allowing 24.4 fantasy points per game (half-PPR) to wide receivers. Safe to say Baker Mayfield will look to pepper Evans with targets as Tampa looks to climb back in the NFC South race. Evans is our WR7 this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Giants

Mike Evans is questionable for Sunday but signs are pointing to him playing for the first time since Week 7. The Bucs offense has stalled a bit in recent weeks before the bye, so Evans will be a much-welcomed back addition to the group. The Giants overall aren't too bad against the pass. Rookie cornerback Dru Phillips has been a stud this season for the Giants. He may get a chance to prove himself against Evans. Still, we really like Evans this week. He checks in as WR5.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Bucs scored 51 points and Baker Mayfield threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns. Yet Mike Evans was still shutout for the most part. Evans caught just two passes for 34 yards but was shadowed by Marshon Lattimore. Evans does get a much more favorable matchup this week against the league's second-worst pass defense and a team allowing the most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. If there's a week for Evans to get back on track, it's this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New Orleans Saints

Mike Evans caught five passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns, marking his second straight game finding the end zone. He's up to five scores on the year and looks to be over the quiet slump he had in Weeks 2 and 3. Tampa's offense should continue to move well against the Saints, especially in the air against a bottom-third pass defense. That should equal plenty of opportunities for Evans and a chance at another strong day. He's a nice WR2 for the week.
