SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs Los Angeles Rams

Noah Fant missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a groin injury and is starting to look like missing Week 9 against the Rams. If he can overcome the injury and play, he’s not exactly someone you need to jam into your lineups. The Rams rank ninth in aFPA to tight ends this season, and Fant is only the TE23 in Half-PPR points per game. The waiver wire of your league probably has a better option this week.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Buffalo Bills

Noah Fant has had two decent games in his last two, catching all ten of his targets over the two games and posting in excess of 60 receiving yards in each. He still only averages 5.5 Half-PPR points per game and sits at TE22 in Half-PPR points per game. But let’s be positive here.

The Bills have not exactly bled fantasy points to tight ends in 2024 and rank 11th in aFPA. We have Fant as our TE21 for the week, although if he can build (or maintain) his recent form then he might be able to give us just a little bit more.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Atlanta Falcons

Noah Fant had one of his better outings of the season in Week 6, with 9.3 Half-PPR points. This was good enough for a TE9 finish, which is much better than his points-per-game rank of TE21 in 2024.

The Week 7 clash with the Falcons could potentially be another spot where fantasy managers are tempted to start Fant. The Falcons are middle of the road in terms of fantasy production allowed to tight ends in 2024, ranking 14th in aFPA to the position. But we still shouldn’t expect too much from Fant, and expectations should probably be capped at the low-end TE2 end of the scale

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs San Francisco 49ers/strong>

The 2024 Noah Fant breakout is beginning to look less and less likely to occur through five games of the season. 2.8 receptions and 27 yards per outing are not exactly paying the bills. These figures amount to just 4.1 Half PPR points per game, "good" for TE27 in points per game.

The 49ers rank 12th in aFPA to tight ends this season, but short of a disaster befalling the three wide receivers ahead of him in the target totem pole it's almost impossible to imagine a scenario where Fant emerges as one of the stars at the tight end position in Week 6. He's a very low-floor, low-end TE2 this week.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New York Giants/strong>

After a promising Week 3 with 9.0 Half PPR points, Noah Fant came crashing back down to earth in Week 4. Fant only saw two targets against the Lions, although to his credit he did catch both for 26 yards. But he could only manage 3.6 Half PPR points and finished as TE24. The breakout we were hoping for doesn't look like it is going to happen.

Still, Fant could - COULD - make some fantasy noise this week against the Giants. The G Men rank 21st in aFPA to tight ends so far this season. But Fant will likely need a touchdown to boost his fantasy output, considering he has 26 yards or less in three of his four games this season. Another low-end TE2 weeks seems almost certain.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Detroit Lions

Noah Fant enjoyed his best game of the season against the Dolphins in Week 3. The veteran tight end caught all six of his targets for 60 yards, giving him a princely 9.0 Half PPR points and a TE6 finish for the week.

The Lions have been more generous towards wide receivers than tight ends this season, so while it is good that Fant is coming into the game with a little momentum, Fant managers should temper their expectations until we start to see him string together productive games. He projects to be a low-end TE2 for this one.

SEA TE Noah Fant - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Miami Dolphins
Noah Fant’s slow start to the season continued in Week 2 on a day in which the Seahawks attempted 44 passes. Fant was targeted just three times, catching one ball for 14 yards. His efforts saw him log 1.9 Half PPR points, “good” for TE35 in Week 2.

The Dolphins have shipped five receptions for 38 yards to tight ends so far this season. It’s starting to look like Fant would need injuries or a significant switch in offensive priorities to enjoy the breakout many people hoped would come in 2024, and as such his ceiling looks like that of a low-end TE2 for this one.
