Scouting report

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Los Angeles Rams

Dallas Goedert has only played twice in the last four weeks, but he averaged 9.1 Half-PPR points per game in those contests. Goedert is the TE8 in points per game this season and looks set to reward his fantasy managers in Week 12 with a matchup against a Rams side that ranks 25th in aFPA to tight ends. The Eagles might have to pass the ball more than they have in recent weeks, giving all the Eagles receivers a welcome boost. Goedert projects as a mid-tier TE1 this week.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs Washington Commanders

Dallas Goedert returned to action in Week 10 and finished as the TE8, thanks in no small part to his first touchdown of the season. It's been an injury-riddled campaign for Goedert, but he's still the TE7 in Half-PPR points per game in 2024. Goedert should be able to produce near his seasonal average this week, especially with several other top tight ends on a bye, and a Commanders team that ranks 15th in aFPA to tight ends should be no real barrier to mid-tier TE1 numbers this week.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Goedert looks set to return to the lineup against the Cowboys in Week 10. Goedert is the TE9 in Half-PPR points per game this season, although he has not played a full part in proceedings. It's not a great matchup on paper, with the Cowboys ranking ninth in aFPA and the Eagles leaning on their ground game and stud wide receivers. Goedert looks like a TE2 option this week.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Cleveland Browns

Dallas Goedert has had to shoulder a larger workload than expected in the opening weeks of the season, and for the most part, he has delivered the goods when called upon. Goedert is the TE3 in Half PPR points per game this season with 10.5, despite leaving some plays on the field.

The Eagles should have A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith back on the field in Week 6, which looks like knocking Goedert down a peg or two on the target totem pole. The Browns have not been too welcoming towards tight ends this season, ranking seventh in aFPA to the position. But Goedert should still be able to post mid-level TE1 numbers, even if he cedes some looks to his wide receiver chums.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Week 3 will probably be the greatest game of Dallas Goedert's life, as he shouldered the receiving load for the Eagles in their win over the Saints. Goedert caught 10 passes for 170 yards after catching seven balls for 69 yards in his two games prior. Goedert was the TE1 in Half PPR scoring 22.0 points.

DeVonta Smith is likely out for Week 4, with A.J. Brown also likely missing his third straight game, so Goedert should remain the primary receiving threat for the Eagles. The Bucs haven't been generous towards tight ends so far this season, but with a heavy workload likely, and the general state of the tight end position across the league, you're unlikely to find a better play than Goedert. He should be a high-end TE1 again in Week 4.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at New Orleans Saints
The absence of A.J. Brown did not lead to an increase in work for Dallas Goedert. Goedert saw just four targets against the Falcons, posting three grabs for 38 yards. Goedert finished with just 5.3 Half PPR points, “good” for TE14.

The Saints have coughed up just seven receptions for 47 yards to tight ends through two games, although they have only played the hapless Panthers and a Jake Ferguson-less Cowboys. With Brown still missing Goedert should – SHOULD – see more targets going forward, and it is the anticipation of this workload that keeps his projection in the TE1 area. But not at a very high level.

PHI TE Dallas Goedert - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Week 1 was a quiet week across the NFL at the tight end spot, so Dallas Goedert's output stacks up quite well against the competition. Goedert caught four of his five targets for 31 yards, giving him 5.1 Half PPR points. Depressingly, that was good enough for TE13 in Week 1.

On paper, Goedert has a pretty good matchup against the Falcons in Week 2. The Falcons gave up six grabs for 41 yards to the Steelers tight ends a week. ago. Still, given his elite target competition, it's hard to get too excited about Goedert, so a low-end TE1 seems a safe projection.
