Chargers QB Justin Herbert (ankle) is expected to start Sunday against the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact:

Herbert started Week 3 but seemed to re-aggravate the injury, leading to Taylor Heinicke entering the game. Herbert went through the week without any setbacks. Certainly there’s some caution after last week but Herbert does sound like he’s in a better position than he was entering last week’s game. Proceed with caution and consider another option if you have one, just in case.

Week 13 at Atlanta Falcons

It was a tale of two halves for Justin Herbert against Baltimore. In the first half, he looked like the quarterback that had been on fire, but in the second half he looked like a quarterback unsure of what to do and where to go with the football. OC Greg Roman seems to be intent on running Quentin Johnston on deep routes only, which doesn't help Johnston or Herbert.

Thankfully, the Falcons are an easy matchup as they are 28th aFPA against quarterbacks this season. A lot of the success or failure from a fantasy perspective for Herbert comes down to playcalling. Although with J.K. Dobbins on injured reserve, they may not have a choice to go run-heavy. Herbert is an easy QB1 this week and QB5 overall. A must-start.
