Week 1 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Deon Jackson may fill in for an injured Jonathan Taylor this week against the Jaguars, a role he filled twice a season ago. In those two starts, he totaled 23 carries, 12 receptions, 157 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown. That’s a bit skewed, because the bulk of that production came in one of the two games, but it’s still enough to make him worth considering in deeper leagues. However, we don’t really know if Jackson is going to start. There are rumors the team likes rookie Evan Hull, and Zach Moss has not yet been declared out with a broken arm suffered in early August.
If Moss is out, Jackson should be considered a risky RB3 or low-end flex option, but if you have better options, you may want to look elsewhere. This could be a committee and could be a really bad team. Plus, rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson could very well wind up leading the team in rushing.
