LAC TE Donald Parham - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Baltimore Ravens

Donald Parham saw plenty of work against the Packers in Week 11, with six targets sent his way by Justin Herbert. He corralled four of them for 57 yards but also committed an egregious drop, one of several performed by Chargers pass catchers in their eventual loss. Still, Parham managed a respectable 7.6 Half PPR points, good enough to finish as the TE8 last week.

Things don't look like staying this groovy ahead of a clash with the Ravens in Week 12. The Ravens rank tenth in aFPA to tight ends this season. With all 32 teams playing this week, it's tough to get too excited about Parham's fantasy appeal, but he should be able to make some noise as a low-end TE2.

Week 11 at Green Bay Packers

It’s been a weird season for Chargers tight ends in general, and Donald Parham in particular. Parham has just 15 receptions all year, but four of them have been for touchdowns. He has not been much of a fantasy factor though, with an average of 4.86 Half PPR points per game.

Everett could see an uptick in targets if Gerald Everett can’t go against the Packers, but it’s not an ideal matchup. The Packers rank eighth in aFPA to tight ends this season. Parham does have some appeal, but not above the mid-tier of the TE2 range.

Week 9 at New York Jets

Gerald Everett’s injury meant Donald Parham was able to step into the Chargers TE1 role in Week 8, and he delivered his best of the season in response. Parham drew a season-high five targets, which he converted into four grabs for 43 yards. Parham had just 61 yards all season prior to the game. He also found the end zone for the fourth time in 2023 on his way to a TE11 finish.

The Jets have not been as able to nullify tight ends as they have wide receivers so far this season, as they rank 24th in aFPA to the tight end spot. If Everett is unable to go, or even if he is, you can look for high-end TE2 numbers from Parham this week.

LAC TE Donald Parham - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Against the Minnesota Vikings, Donald Parham played 34 snaps (52%) and drew just two targets. He caught both of them for a mere four yards, yet both ended up with Parham in the end zone. Parham's six grabs for the year feature three touchdowns. Parham managed 13.4 Half PPR points in Week 3, finishing as the TE4. In season-long scoring, Parham is the TE7.

The Raiders rank 32nd in aFPA to tight ends after three weeks. If there was no Gerald Everett, then we could get excited about Donald Parham's matchup. But the same is true in reverse. Still, Everett is seeing more targets than Parham, and the process would suggest that he's the best bet to be fantasy viable over the longer term, Although we shouldn't hate Parham as a low-end TE2 option.

LAC TE Donald Parham - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Tennessee Titans

Not many people would have started Donald Parham in Week 1, but if you did, you were rewarded with a TE3 finish in Half-PPR formats. Parham only saw three targets, but he caught them all for 21 yards and a touchdown, giving him 9.6 fantasy points.

Parham and Everett look like they are capping the upside of the other. Until and unless a clear leader emerges then neither are really recommended starts in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues. This is a shame this week, as the matchup against the Titans is quite a mouth-watering one.

LAC TE Donald Parham - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Denver

Parham will assume the starting TE role with Hunter Henry’s placement on the COVID/reserve list. Parham has not done anything in the NFL, however his massive 6’8”, 240lbs. frame had him on a tear earlier this year for the Dallas Renegades in the XFL. In the five XFL games Parham played, he totaled 24 receptions for 307 yards and four touchdowns. It is not much to go on, but it’s at least indicative of Parham being able to have success in some form of organized football. He will be a touchdown-dependent TE2 this week and will be an interesting add if Keenan Allen also misses this one with an injury.
