IND WR Alec Pierce - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New England Patriots

Alec Pierce is listed as questionable for Sunday but is trending towards playing against the Patriots. If he does, he'll continue his usual role of seeing a handful of deep targets. He had just one catch against the Lions but it was good for 39 yards. Incredibly, Pierce is actually the leading Colts receiver with 629 yards, despite just 27 catches, compared to 53 for Josh Downs and 41 for Michael Pittman. There's a chance for a few catches this week with Josh Downs likely out this week. Still, he's not much more than a deeper flex option with no teams on a bye.

Week 12 vs. Detroit Lions

Alec Pierce had another week where he had a high yardage total on just a few catches. More than half of his 74 yards last week (39) came on one catch. Pierce actually leads all qualified receivers with 22.4 yards per catch. When it comes to fantasy, Pierce is a weekly boom-or-bust play. The Lions can be hit or miss against the pass but they are allowing 27 fantasy points per game (half-PPR) to wide receivers this season. Still, you're banking on one of those big plays for Pierce to have a good fantasy day.

IND WR Alec Pierce - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New York Jets

Alec Pierce caught four passes for 81 yards and a touchdown last week against the Bills while operating as the WR2 with Michael Pittman (back/finger) out. It was his best game since Week 5 (3-134-1). Pittman will likely return this week, pushing Pierce down a bit, but he still is a threat to catch a deep pass for a score. However, the passing game is expected to take a step back with the inconsistent Anthony Richardson back as the starting quarterback. Against the Jets' secondary and the No. 2 passing defense in the league, Pierce can be considered as a deep flex option with four teams on a bye this week.

Week 9 at Minnesota Vikings

Even with the favorable matchup against the Vikings, Alec Pierce looks to be the third option in the passing game. Week 8 was Pierce's third this season with one or fewer catches. He at least now has Joe Flacco throwing the football, but given his standing in the pecking order, Pierce is a deeper flex option this week,

Week 8 at Houston Texans

Alec Pierce caught just two passes for 15 yards against the Dolphins. He has...two catches for 15 yards in his last two games -- he was shut out against the Jaguars in Week 6. Richardson will chuck the ball from time to time to Pierce, but that's the extent of his fantasy value at this point. You either get that deep touchdown or you get next to nothing. Pierce is barely a flex play this week.

Week 6 at Tennessee Titans

Alex Pierce recorded his second 100-yard day of the season in Week 5. But just like the first one, he had just three catches. Pierce is a boom-or-bust play each week, but Michael Pittman (back) could be limited, so Pierce could see a few more targets, and perhaps a deep ball or two, his way against a tough Titans defense. Pierce is a deep Flex play for Week 6.

IND WR Alec Pierce - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Chicago Bears

Two straight games with a touchdown reception for Alec Pierce to start the season and he has over 50 yards in both -- he had 125 thanks to the huge touchdown pass in Week 1. The Bears are a middle-of-the-pack matchup so far against the pass. Josh Downs may return to add another mouth for Anthony Richardson but Pierce has shown deep-play ability. That said, the Colts offense overall has struggled out of the gate, costing Pierce some stock. He's a Week 3 Flex against the Bears and their talented secondary.
