Fantasy Upside
We still believe in the talent and upside of Kyle Pitts. The good news is that he'll be a little cheaper in drafts this year with an ADP near the 6th round. Atlanta also doesn't have much in the passing game among receivers and tight ends besides Pitts and Drake London, though the running backs should be involved as well. We can still be enticed by a wide receiver in a tight end's body.
Fantasy Downside
Pitts was undoubtedly a major disappointment in 2022. He went from over 1,000 yards as a rookie to just 356 yards and two touchdowns in 2022, though he did double his touchdown total from 2021. He also missed seven games. Atlanta also still has a question mark at quarterback with Desmond Ridder, so there's concern with the Atlanta passing game.
2023 Bottom Line
When Pitts is right, he can be really good. How well he connects with Ridder remains to be seen (Pitts was out when Ridder started). As mentioned before, at least now you don't have to invest a pick in the first three rounds to land him this year, though he is still going around the 5th or 6th round in drafts. You can grab Pitts for the upside, but consider grabbing another tight end as insurance.
