ATL TE Kyle Pitts - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Carolina Panthers

It was hard to think Kyle Pitts' fantasy season could have gotten any worse than it already was, but somehow, it did. Pitts had just nine yards last week against the Bengals as things just haven't gone his way in an inconsistent Atlanta offense. Carolina provides another tough matchup this week for Pitts, so Pitts is now relegated to TE2 status, which was unheard of before the season.

ATL TE Kyle Pitts - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Cincinnati Bengals

Sound the alarm! Kyle Pitts scored a touchdown! He only had 19 yards, however. Incredibly enough, that's his third game with exactly 19 yards. But he does have a good matchup this week. The Bengals are among the top ten in fantasy points per game allowed to tight ends and other than Drake London, the Falcons don't have much on the outside to throw to, so Pitts always brings weekly upside, even if he hasn't been hitting that upside.

ATL TE Kyle Pitts - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Kyle Pitts seems to be trending in the right direction for returning after missing Week 5 with a hamstring injury. He's been incredibly frustrating, but a couple of decent tight ends are on a bye this week and Pitts still provides talent and opportunity. We still have him as a low-end TE1 this week, even in a tough matchup against the 49ers, the No. 1 defense in DVOA terms.

ATL TE Kyle Pitts - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Cleveland Browns

Now that's more like it. Kyle Pitts had over double the number of yards in Week 3 as he did the first two weeks combined against the Seahawks. He saw eight targets last week. The targets haven't been the issue this season, it's been completing the catches. He did that last week, catching five balls, so we can feel better about him going forward. Marcus Mariota will continue looking Pitts' way, since it's really only him and Drake London out wide, so the volume will certainly be there. Pitts has weekly top-five upside.

ATL TE Kyle Pitts - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Seattle Seahawks

This season so far is definitely not what fantasy managers hoped for from a tight end taken in the third, or maybe even second, round of drafts. Marcus Mariota has been targeting Drake London a lot more than he has Kyle Pitts. In fact, Pitts saw just three targets against the Rams and Atlanta was in catch-up mode almost the entire game. Seattle provides a much more favorable matchup, so maybe this is the week Pitts finally gets going this season. Besides, it can't get much worse than two catches for 19 yards every game.

ATL TE Kyle Pitts - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Los Angeles Rams

Kyle Pitts saw seven targets in Week 1 against the Saints and played 63 snaps. That's the good news. The bad news is he only caught two passes for 19 yards. Pitts managers from last year know he can have some weeks where it will get frustrating. However, his seven targets were tied with Drake London for the team lead in Week 1.

The Rams kept Dawson Knox very quiet in Week 1, holding him to just one catch for five yards. That said, Pitts is a totally different animal altogether and it's entirely possible the Falcons will be playing from behind often in this one, opening up opportunities for Pitts. Fire him up once again this week.

ATL TE Kyle Pitts - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. New Orleans Saints

What can we say about Kyle Pitts that hasn't already been said? The guy is a freak of an athlete and posted over 1,000 yards last season. Interestingly enough, in Week 18 last season, Pitts had just eight yards against New Orleans. But that will be the exception. You're starting Pitts and reaping the rewards.
