Scouting report

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles' defense has been stingy towards all fantasy-relevant positions this season. They've been particularly unfriendly towards running backs, against whom they rank second in aFPA this season. This is not great news for Brian Robinson. He should lead the backfield in rush attempts, but there is a good chance the Commanders might be playing from behind in this one, and a strong role in the passing game is not something Robinson has enjoyed. He's a low-end RB2 option this week.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New Orleans Saints

Brian Robinson has exactly 16 rush attempts in three of his last four games, managing at least 63 rushing yards in each. He has an almost dream matchup against a Saints defense that couldn’t stop you from running a bath this season as they rank dead last in aFPA to running backs. Robinson projects as a solid RB2 option in Week 15.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Tennessee Titans

Brian Robinson hasn’t been too productive since returning to the Commanders side after injury. In his last two games, he averages just 8.3 Half-PPR points per game. He’s a risky start this week, given his injury concerns and a stiff Titans run defense. The Titans rank sixth in aFPA to running backs this season, and even with Austin Ekeler likely missing Robinson is not going to find Sunday easy sledding. He’s a low-end RB2 option, and likely a touchdown-reliant one at that.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Dallas Cowboys

Brian Robinson has averaged 10.9 Half-PPR points per game over his last two games while battling a persistent injury, helping him to RB20 in points per game this season. Robinson can be started with confidence in Week 12 against a Cowboys time that has been a welcome opponent for pretty much all position groups this season. They rank 28th in aFPA to running backs, which should help Robinson post low-end RB1 numbers in a week with six teams on a bye.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Philadelphia Eagles

Brian Robinson looks set to return to action for the Commanders against the Eagles in Week 11. Robinson is the RB20 in Half-PPR formats this season, averaging 13.5 points per game. This doesn’t really look like being a strong Robinson game, especially with the Eagles ranking third in aFPA to running backs. He might be able to offer some mid-tier RB2 juice, but he’s going to share backfield work and that’s not great for his fantasy prospects.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Chicago Bears

Brian Robinson is averaging a robust 14.4 Half-PPR points per game this season and currently sits at RB15 in points per game. Not a bad start to the season at all for him. He has a middling matchup against a Bears team ranked 17th in aFPA to running backs this season in Week 8, but the Commanders offensive efficiency is bound to take a knock with Jayden Daniels set to miss out. Robinson looks like a low-end RB2 this week.

WAS RB Brian Robinson - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Baltimore Ravens

Brian Robinson has been a solid asset, both to the Commanders and his fantasy managers, in 2024. Robinson has already tied his career-high with five rushing touchdowns, and with 14.7 Half PPR points per game, he is the RB12 in 2024.

Robinson didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday this week, and even if he can go this week, it’s not a great matchup for him. The Ravens have been stingy towards fantasy running backs in 2024 and rank seventh in aFPA for the position. Assuming he takes the field, it’s best to view him as a low-end RB2 option.
