Scouting report

NO WR Michael Thomas - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Minnesota Vikings

Almost incredibly, Michael Thomas saw just one target last week against the Bears and he did not catch it, so it was a big fat donut for Thomas in Week 9. Last week will certainly be the exception, not the norm, for Thomas, but he still remains behind Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara and essentially rotates with Rashid Shaheed and even Taysom Hill at times. Hard to trust Thomas as anything more than a deep flex play this week against a good Minnesota defense.

NO WR Michael Thomas - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Chicago Bears

Michael Thomas remains in his pattern of getting between 40-70 yards in a game and roughly four catches per game. That’s good enough as a deep flex play. Same story for this week. The Bears present a good matchup for the Saints, but Thomas is basically in a holding pattern on the season.

NO WR Michael Thomas - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Indianapolis Colts

Michael Thomas had consistently been around 50-60 yards per week but has now had less than 50 in two straight games. He did find the end zone for the first time this season and there’s a chance he does so again versus the Colts’ secondary. Still, it’s a gamble as Thomas is nothing more than a deep flex option this week.

NO WR Michael Thomas - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Michael Thomas is about as steady as they come this season. Not overly impressive in fantasy, but still hovering around 10-12 points per week, which isn't bad for a flex option. And as long as Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara are around, what you've seen from Thomas is pretty much what you are going to get. That said, Thomas remains a solid candidate in a week where six teams are on a bye.

NO WR Michael Thomas - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Houston Texans

Michael Thomas’ role is pretty well-defined by now. He’ll get a few catches and around 60 yards. That pattern has worked all season and likely continues this week against the Texans. That pattern is at least good enough to be a borderline flex/WR3 going forward.

NO WR Michael Thomas - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at New England Patriots

Another week, another 50-60 yard outing for Michael Thomas. A pattern seems to be emerging for Thomas. Incredibly, he outperformed Chris Olave quite a bit, but that will be an exception. Still, these numbers are at least making Thomas a consistent deep Flex option. That holds true again for Week 5 against the Patriots.

NO WR Michael Thomas - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Michael Thomas has been nothing if not consistent through three weeks. He’s had around 6 catches and around 50-60 yards per game. He’s settled into a solid role behind Chris Olave. He’s Flex-worthy moving forward, since he’s good for about 10-12 points in PPR formats. It’s probably fair to think this is close to his ceiling at this point, which is fine.
