Fantasy Upside
The Colts really liked Varga, an undrafted rookie out of Yale, following training camp and the preseason of 2015. His ability to play special teams gave him a spot on the roster, and Frank Gore even took a liking to him, as the two formed a type of mentor relationship. Varga suffered a concussion though, with effects so bad that he had to go on injured reserve. If he can prove to be healthy again this preseason, it’s definitely possible he could emerge behind Gore on the depth chart. There’s a reason the Colts brought him back.
Fantasy Downside
With no concussion history, it’s hard to tell how Varga’s body would react if he were to suffer another one. Plus, 2016 undrafted free agent Josh Ferguson has impressed in offseason workouts.
Bottom Line
Varga isn’t a player that will be drafted, in all likelihood, in 2016; however, if Gore were to suffer an injury, the RB that emerges behind him in Indianapolis would have some value. Other than that, Varga doesn’t have fantasy value.
