Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill pushing off wrist injury until after 2024 season

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill said Thursday he may undergo surgery on a wrist injury that limited him at practice last week, but any procedure wouldn't be until after the 2024 season ends.

Hill said he first injured his wrist in August, during a joint practice with the Washington Commanders. The injury worsened over the first nine weeks of the season, to a point where Hill was held out of the Dolphins' final two practices of Week 10 and carried a questionable tag into Miami's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

The Dolphins have a very winnable game this week against the Raiders, but we have to consider what the team, and Hill himself, will think about getting the surgery out of the way if they are eventually pushed out of playoff contention. Later in the article Hill mentioned, "It's going to get worse the more I play, but I got to [gut] it out for my team."

Hill is a WR1 this week, but his long-term view for the fantasy playoffs is a little murky right now.

MIA WR Jaylen Waddle - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

This is becoming a season to forget for Jaylen Waddle. While he did lead the team in receiving yards and targets last week, we can't count on that every week. Waddle has been behind De'Von Achane for some weeks in targets. We'll see how much this wrist injury limits Tyreek Hill moving forward as that may be the only real path Waddle has for paying off.

The Raiders are 4th aFPA against wide receivers this season, but that could be a bit inflated as teams don't really need to throw too much against them. Teams have been crushing on the ground and through tight ends against the Raiders, but we've seen Zay Flowers and Diontae Johnson both have high-end performances against the Raiders. Still, Waddle is a back-end WR3 this week. He's likely in your lineup, but you probably aren't happy about it.
