Andre Williams regressed in his second season, putting up only 257 yards and a single touchdown on 88 carries last year. He’s a powerful back who was very productive in college, but he has yet to progress into a legit option in the running game. As a result, he’s sliding down the depth chart in New York, and may have lost the backup job to rookie Paul Perkins. He’ll definitely be behind starter Rashad Jennings and the versatile Shane Vereen, but he may have his work cut out for him fighting off Perkins and Orleans Darkwa as well. He has no fantasy value at this point and should not be drafted in any league format.
Update:
Williams had very little fantasy value, but now that he's been released in the final cut-down to 53, he shouldn't be on a fantasy roster. He could catch on elsewhere, but it's hard to imagine him winning a significant job anywhere when he couldn't do much with ample opportunities in New York.
