DEN RB Javonte Williams - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Bengals

Javonte Williams continues to impress in all facets of the game, in Week 14 he had 83 total yards, while adding a score on the ground and through the air, and while he's hot, the Cincinnati Bengals run defense has been just as impressive. Since Week 9, after Nick Chubb gashed them for 133 yards, the Bengals run defense hasn't allowed a single rusher to go over 60 rushing yards and have only allowed one rushing touchdown. Of course, you can't sit Javonte Williams, he's been too impressive, but don't be surprised if he isn't winning your week in the first round of the playoffs.

Week 14 vs Lions

What will Javonte Williams do for his encore this week? A week after we saw Melvin Gordon not play due to a hip injury, he saw 78% of the snaps, 85% of the rushing yards, and 86% of the receiving yards, which all coincided with his best fantasy week of the season with a final line of 29.8 PPR fantasy points. Melvin Gordon is tentatively expected back this week, but even so, you can't bottle up a talent like Williams once unleashed. Going against a Detroit Lions team who has been abysmal against the run, Williams is a must-start this week, especially since the Denver Broncos are 7.5-point favorites this week.

DEN RB Javonte Williams - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Chiefs

Javonte Williams is coming off a 20.1 fantasy point week where he dominated touches and targets and in which he had the upper hand when it comes to snaps but that's been the story for the past month. Javonte has seen 106 snaps to Melvin Gordons 92 snap count. Is it a changing of the guard, we're not so sure yet with still a sample size but what we can say is that Javonte Williams is too electric of a player to keep off the field. The Chiefs are also the third-best defense when it comes to limiting RB and the points they give up according to our very own hot spot tool. So even though Javonte has looked good, we should have our expectations in check against a strong run defense.

DEN RB Javonte Williams - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Chargers

Javonte Williams is coming off a bye week in which he led the Broncos backfield in snaps played the week before, if that continues this weekend and Williams sees the majority of the snaps again we could be looking at a breakout performance against a Chargers team that has been weak against the run this year. The Chargers are currently leading the league in rushing yards allowed in 2021.

Week 10 vs Eagles

Javonte Williams is coming on strong and only keeps showing improvements on a weekly basis, unfortunately, that hasn't translated to Williams seeing a lion's share of the work but he still is getting a ton of work. Williams has outrushed Gordon the past two weeks to a tune of 146 yards to Gordons 127 yards while receiving fewer touches than Gordon (26/31). This week should feature both backs again with Vegas having the Broncos as a 2.5 point favorite over the Eagles.

DEN RB Javonte Williams - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Cowboys

Javonte Williams continues to split backfield work with Melvin Gordon even if he's not getting the majority of snaps. Williams has only five fewer carries in the past two weeks. The main difference between the two is Gordon has found the endzone three times in the past two games while Williams has not. Both are worth chasing as touchdown-dependent flex plays.

DEN RB Javonte Williams - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs Football Team

Javonte Williams is having a very good rookie year, it's just the Denver coaching staff seems to value Melvin Gordon's veteran presence a lot as well, so even though we want the rookie to take over, we have to be patient as it may take an injury for Williams to be fully unlocked. This week he takes on a Washington Football Team only allowing 3.5 YPC which is second in the NFL. Unless Williams can find himself in the end zone like last week, he might be better left as a floor instead of a ceiling play.
