UFC Fight Night Kattar vs Allen: 3 Props to Target at Prize Picks
UFC Fight Night Kattar vs Allen: 3 Props to Target at Prize Picks
UFC Fight Night is back at the Apex with an underrated main event featuring Calvin Kattar and Arnold Allen. A shallow card limits our line options with PrizePicks but fortunately there is still some value to target. While some of these lines offer less confidence than previous fights it’s important to play the flex option this week.
Arnold Allen under .5 takedowns.
Arnold Allen averages just over 1.5 takedowns per 15 minutes. With a line this low, it would seem that this number should be an easy smash on the over. The problem with that thought is taking into consideration just how good Calvin Kattar has been throughout his UFC career. Kattar has only been taken down twice in the UFC. His takedown defense is above 91% and this fight projects to be contested on the feet.
Marcos Rogerio de Lima under 14.75 fight time.
Andre Arlovski is 43 years old and has been through wars in the UFC. While six of his last seven fights have gone to decision, there was also a point in his career when there was serious concern whether Arlovski could take a punch. Somewhere around 40 years old, Arlovski seemed to have found his chin. It’s questionable how long that can hold up. Rogerio de Lima has the ability to finish by knockout or submission. He has finished 82% of his professional fights. Taking the under here is a bet on both the finishing ability of Rogerio de Lima and Father Time catching up with Arlovski.
Waldo Cortes-Acosta over 97.5 fantasy points.
Waldo Cortes-Acosta is coming off a DWCS that saw him land nearly 12 strikes per minute. If you have watched Cortes-Acosta fight, you will see that he overwhelms other heavyweights with swarming volume. Debuting against Jared Vanderaa bodes well for Cortes-Acosta keeping that strategy going. Vanderaa allows opponents to land nearly six strikes per minute. The perennial punching bag has been finished in three of his last four fights. Cortes-Acosta should be the more athletic and powerful striker, leading him to an early stoppage in this fight.
