The Top DFS Stacks on FanDuel and DraftKings in Week 17

Here I’ll be diving into stacks that mainly involve the week’s highest over/unders. For starters, I’ll lead with my favorite stack from the highest implied over/under game, followed by analyzing the next few games with the highest totals on the slate and a stack projected for low ownership.

Top Stacks From Games With High Vegas Totals

Saints (28.75) @ Buccaneers (21.75) — 50.5 Over/Under

Drew Brees ($8,200/$6,500) + Alvin Kamara ($8,800/$7,900)

Brees has been far from a GPP play this season as the Saints have been running a balanced offense featuring the 11th-most rush attempts and 18th-most pass attempts. The Saints have scored 22 touchdowns each rushing and passing. Brees has just one three-touchdown passing game this year, but has been a serviceable floor play who just hasn’t piled on the three-touchdown games like we are used to seeing.

That said, Brees projects as a top-five value on both sites this week. He takes on a Buccaneers defense which ranks slightly above average in quarterback aFPA (13th), but allows 7.3 net yards per pass attempt, which is tied with the Texans for the second-worst mark in the league. Brees has still been his usual efficient self this season, leading the league with a 71.9 percent completion rate and 8.1 yards per attempt. The Saints have the second-highest implied total on the slate at 28.75 points, so Brees certainly has a chance to post the kind of touchdown numbers that he's been missing out on for much of the season.

Kamara has seen his price decrease on DraftKings but rise on FanDuel. Either way, he projects as a top-four value on both sites. Even if Kamara doesn’t get it done on the ground, he still provides value in the passing game. He averages 6.7 targets per game over his last six games, which trails only Michael Thomas for the team lead. Kamara has seen seven and nine targets, respectively, in the past two games. A receiving touchdowns is what we're really looking for here, and Brees has thrown a touchdown to Kamara in four of the last eight games.
