The Top DFS Stacks on FanDuel & DraftKings in Week 3
The top stacks will look a little different from now on. I’ll be diving into stacks that mainly involve the week’s highest over/unders. For starters, I’ll lead with my favorite game stack from the highest implied over/under game, followed by analyzing the next three games with the highest totals on the slate, and then a low-owned stack.
Top Stacks From Games With High Vegas Totals
Oakland Raiders (28.5) @ Washington Redskins (25.5) — (54 over/under)
Kirk Cousins ($7600/$6100) + Terrelle Pryor ($6900/$5900) + Jared Cook ($5200/$3100)
The Oakland/Washington game features the week’s highest total at 54 points. Naturally, DFS players are going to gravitate towards this game. Given that it’s going to be an attractive target, it makes sense to target players in such a way to still allow for unique roster construction. I’m partial to the Cousins-Pryor-Cook stack because the majority of the people are going to look at Amari Cooper or Michael Crabtree on the Raiders side of the ball. Cook owns an 18 percent target share for the Raiders and has a 72 percent catch rate. Teams have been targeting Washington in the middle of the field, and they’ve already surrendered back-to-back 100-yard games to tight ends this season. We have them rated 29th in TE aFPA.
After seeing 11 targets in Week 1, Terrelle Pryor saw four targets in Week 2, but he still leads the Redskins with a 22 percent target share overall and a 38 percent share of air yards. Cousins has struggled to begin the year, but he’s at home with a favorable 25.5 implied team total. The Raiders defense can be attacked through the air; they’ve already given up two top-13 fantasy games to opposing quarterbacks, and with Rob Kelley at less than 100 percent, the Redskins could invoke a more pass-heavy approach. This looks like a good bounce-back spot for Cousins and Pryor.
