DFS Tight End Analysis: Week 4

DFS is a game of exploiting a lot of small edges, therefore all options at each position should be explored every week. Below is an analysis of this week’s tight ends on the main slate, including the upside and downside of the most viable players on the slate with explanations for how you might adjust your approach to the position depending on the game type. Chalk

Rob Gronkowski is expected to be the highest-owned tight end on both FanDuel and DraftKings this week, and for good reason—Gronk has caught at least six balls and scored in consecutive games, compiling at least 22 PPR points in each contest. While the Patriots are 9-point home favorites with the highest implied point total of the week, they are facing a Panthers defense ranked third against tight ends, when adjusted for strength of schedule. Priced at $6,000 on DK, Gronk is only $300 more than the TE2, but he’s priced $1,600 more than the TE2 on FD, meaning that rostering him could be prohibitive to the overall makeup of the rest of your lineup, especially in cash games.
