Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 2: Mac Jones On Pace for Divisional Shootout

It felt good to have a full slate of NFL football at our disposal for the first time in nine months, and plenty of performances lit up the scoreboard in turn. There were a number of quarterbacks selected as top-10 options who completely sunk their fantasy squads, but a select few waiver wire options gifted patient drafters with very usable weeks. Below, we’ll look to replicate that success with positive matchups now that we have some real-life 2023 data to mine.

For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.

To provide the advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Week 1 Recap

We absolutely cleaned up in this space during Week 1, nailing two of the top-three quarterbacks, with each of our four targets finishing as a QB1 on the week. They combined for 10 combined touchdowns (one on the ground) to only two interceptions, while Mac Jones eclipsed 300 yards passing. That sort of success will be nearly impossible to replicate, but that doesn’t mean we won’t try.
