Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming Week 9: McBride to be a TE1
The tight end position has had a resurgence as of late, and last week was a prime example. A whopping 13 options clocked double-digit points when we saw that number as low five (Weeks 2, 6) and the abominable two back in Week 1. There are four byes here in Week 9, but we don’t have to deal with another six bye week slate until Week 13.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.
To provide the advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Week 8 Review
Nailing the number one and number two finishers at a onesie position was a pretty darn positive week of streaming. Throw in a TE7 performance, and Week 8 was certainly the most successful crop we’ve had all season. Gerald Everett was sadly declared out late on Sunday despite getting a full practice in on Friday, but hopefully, you were able to pivot to one of the three top-seven options in time.
Top Streamers
- Dalton Kincaid - 15.0 half-PPR points (TE7)
- Taysom Hill - 22.0 (TE1)
Deep Plays
- Gerald Everett - 0.0 points (N/A - declared out late Sunday afternoon)
- Michael Mayer - 2.4 (TE30)
- Trey McBride - 20.5 (TE2)
