NBA DraftKings Pick6 Plays for 2/29
By now, you might know, but if not, DraftKings recently released their newest game called “Pick6”! It’s a peer-to-peer pick’em game where you combine two or more plays with significant upside. There are some fun twists to this game that make it much different than a regular pick 'em contest.

We’re focusing on the loaded NBA slate tonight, where value can be had. Before we dive in, though, here’s a quick breakdown of the payouts and how you can win insane prizes if you outduel the field.
DraftKings Pick 6 Payouts
For example, a 5-Pick NBA contest with a $10,000 total prize pool may have a prize structure like follows:
- 5/5 Correct Splits $8,000
- 4/5 Correct Splits $2,000
In this example, if the contest closed with just 320 entries, going 5/5 on your picks, means each entry would win $25 ($8,000 / 320 = $25). If you had two entries in the contest among the 320 winning entries, your total prizes for the contest would be $50 ($25 x 2 = $50). There is a possibility of winning much more if the contest ends with fewer entries and going 5/5 could also result in less of a win if, say, 500 entries get 5/5 correct.

DraftKings Pick6 NBA Plays (2/29)
For today’s plays, I want to have a little fun since it’s a day that comes around just once every four years, and it’s essentially erased from memory until another Leap Day comes around. So, let’s get bold and find some value.
Steph Curry Over 5.5 Three-Pointers Made
Look, I’m a Knicks fan and have this too many times to count. Anytime a superstar comes to the Garden, struggling or not, they seem to blow up. Especially when it’s a nationally televised game, as this one will be tonight. Curry has made just 16 of his last 58 from deep (27.5%), but in the previous four games, he was on fire, making 36 of 67 (53.7%) and 7+ three-pointers in each game.
Steph has made five or more 3-pointers in all five games against my Knicks since 2021, and he’s attempted 14+ from 3-point land in all of those games. The Knicks have struggled at defending the arc this season, currently ranked 21st in opponent 3FG%. And they just allowed Trey Murphy III to go 6-for-11 from downtown. This may be a popular play, but I can assure you as a Knicks fan, this is undoubtedly happening.
Damien Lillard over 6.5 Assists
Damien Lillard has eclipsed this mark in four straight, and in ten of the 17 games in February so far. He’s also averaging a robust 6.8 assists per game this season.
Tonight, Dame and the Bucks get a stingerless Hornets squad that is one of the worst at preventing opponent assists. They’re allowing the 3rd highest assists per possession rate. The 6th most assists per opponent FGM. And the 4th most opponent assists per game.
Luguentz Dort Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made
Huh?! This is probably my favorite play on the board tonight. His opponent, San Antonio, allows the fifth most points per game and is the eighth worst in defensive efficiency. And they’re allowing opponents to shoot 38.7% from beyond the arc, good for third worst in the league.
Add all that to the fact that Dort is no slouch from deep this season either, and we have ourselves a play. He’s shooting a career-best 40%, having made two or more 3-pointers in five of his last six games. While also doing so in 33 of his 56 games played so far in 2023-24. Luguentz has been making it rain on a consistent basis this season, and I expect a downpour tonight in San Antonio.
Nikola Jokić under 12.5 Rebounds
I’m definitely playing with fire here, but the Joker has had his struggles against Miami and Bam Adebayo in the past. He’s corralled 12 or fewer boards in both matchups this season and in four of the last six games against the Heat. Adding to my optimism of this hitting is that Miami ranks no.2 in opponent offensive rebounding percentage and has limited Nikola to just ONE offensive board in their two matchups so far this season. Let’s just hope the joke isn’t on me.
