Fantasy Football Free Agency Winners & Losers (2024)
The bulk of free agency is over, so I thought I’d compile a list of fantasy “winners” and “losers,” taking into account all of the big signings and trades thus far.
You can find my take on each move in our Fantasy Free Agency Tracker, while the 4for4 Staff has been writing in-depth analysis of the major signings. You can find those here.
Free Agency Winners
Zamir White, Raiders
Zamir White is slated for RB1 duties after Josh Jacobs moved onto Green Bay. White filled that role for four games late last season, gaining 83, 145, 106, and 121 total yards in consecutive games. He scored one touchdown, caught nine passes, and was the fantasy RB8 in that span. Among the 41 running backs with 25+ carries in the last four weeks, White was ninth in yards after contact per attempt. He had the No. 20 rushing grade (out of 55 backs) in that span per PFF, and he fared well as a pass-blocker. The Raiders could add talent in the Draft, but for now, it looks like White’s star is on the rise.
George Pickens, Steelers
George Pickens finished WR20 in his second season, turning 106 targets into 63 catches for 1,140 yards, and five touchdowns. He showed major upside in a handful of games, gaining 60.5% of his yards (690) and four of his touchdowns in just five games. Meanwhile, he failed to clear 10.0 half-PPR points in 11 games. He dealt with pretty suspect quarterback play from Kenny Pickett and Mitchell Trubisky for most of the season, so the acquisitions of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields should help. He’s also locked in as the team’s WR1 after Diontae Johnson was traded to Carolina.
