Legs One & Two: Jake Ferguson 4+ Receptions & Jake Ferguson 30+ Receiving Yards

We're going right back to the well that has been paying us all season. We find a guy we like to catch balls, and then pair him with the guy throwing him the balls. It's a strategy as old as time. What I like best about it is it still works. Tonight, we're going to go with a pass-catcher on the underdog team again. They are likely to fall behind so they are more likely to throw for all four quarters. Just between us, I don't think we'll need all four quarters for our boy Jake Ferguson. He looks like a first-half cash type of guy.

Obviously, the game script should work for Jake, but what about the matchup? Does it get any better? When it comes to yards, the Bengals have given up 783 of them to opposing tight ends. That makes them roughly seventh-worst in the NFL. By my calculations, after tonight, they'll be at least third worst in that metric. Translation: Jake Ferguson's 30 receiving yards will never be in question. And if you're worried about the four receptions, just remember that in order to obtain receiving yards, you need to first catch a pass. Jake knows this which is why he will easily post, at minimum, a 4-30 line tonight. We should move on to the next leg.

Leg Three: Cooper Rush 217+ Passing Yards

This is the most genius leg of the whole thing. It's the one that when you show your friends, they'll be like, "that's not hitting". Then, once it does, you'll be able to rub it in their face a little. It's basically the Circle of Life for sports bettors. The haters are forgetting that before last week, we saw Cooper hit this number in every start this season for the Cowboys. It was only two, but still. And last week was against the New York Giants, so it doesn't even count. Who in their right mind would go into that game thinking they should let their backup quarterback get loose? Nobody. That's who.

This week, the Cowboys might not have a choice as to how they want to attack. Joe Burrow and the Bengals are surely going to hang points on this Dallas defense. It's what they do. So when that happens, the magic that is Cooper Rush starts. Go back and look at the Cincinnati game logs. Every signal-caller they face has a Wikipedia game on them. Russell Wilson just went 400+ against these guys last week. If Russell can for for 400+, then Cooper can get at least 217. That's just how reality works. Feels good.
