Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 4: It's Andy Dalton Time
We finally saw some decent stat lines from quarterbacks in Week 3. Five quarterbacks threw for at least 300 yards and eight quarterbacks throw for at least 280 yards. The biggest improvement over the first two weeks was that 14 quarterbacks had multiple touchdown passes, including five quarterbacks with at least three touchdown passes.
Week 4 is the final slate before bye weeks begin. That means we’ll have additional streaming options, and that could be key for fantasy managers. Another established quarterback who might not be able to play is Justin Herbert, who was forced out of Sunday’s matchup against the Steelers after aggravating his high ankle sprain.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.
To provide advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Week 3 Recap
Our biggest hit from Week 3 was Sam Darnold, who finished as QB9. He threw four touchdown passes against the Texans in what was a lopsided home victory for the Vikings. While he hasn’t produced gaudy yardage totals, Darnold has eight passing touchdowns through three games. He has also completed 67.9% of his passes, which is on pace to be the highest mark of his career.
The biggest disappointment among the streamers in Week 3 came from Derek Carr. The Saints couldn’t get hardly anything going on offense against the Eagles, leaving Carr to throw for 142 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He only averaged 5.7 yards per target after averaging 15.2 yards per target the week prior.

Andy Dalton (Panthers) vs. Bengals
Dalton’s season debut couldn’t have been much better. He completed 26 of 37 pass attempts against the Raiders, throwing for 319 yards and three touchdowns. That marked his second start over the last two seasons. In Week 3 last year, he threw for 361 yards and two touchdowns against the Seahawks.
The Panthers offense is not void of weapons. Dionte Johnson took off last week, catching eight of 14 targets for 122 yards and a touchdown. Running back Chuba Hubbard can be a weapon catching passes out of the backfield and he showed that, posting five receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown against the Raiders. The Panthers don’t seem to view Dalton as just a game manager, so he should have enough opportunities to air things out to be worth streaming against the Bengals, who Jayden Daniels carved up on Monday. Dalton is available in 95% of Yahoo leagues.
