The winless St. Louis Rams got some good news on Monday as No. 1 wide receiver Donnie Avery has avoided a long-term injury.
Avery underwent an MRI on the hip that he injured in the first half of the Rams’ 23-20 overtime loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
The Rams’ offense sputtered after Avery left the game.
“The MRI didn’t show anything but a bruise,’’ Spagnuolo said.
Spagnuolo said Avery was day-to-day.
Spagnuolo said Avery was already saying that he wouldn’t miss any practice time in the locker room just moments after the game against the Jaguars.
