Shanahan said Isaac Guerendo (hamstring) was trending well and is expected to practice this week.

Fantasy Impact:

The Niners play on Monday night at home against the Lions. So those waiting on Guerendo may want to have a backup plan. Hopefully owners will get more information about his status well before that. He should be in line for a big workload, if he plays, just given his draft capital and past usage as the team's now RB1. Samuel would likely get some carries as well.

SF RB Patrick Taylor - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Miami Dolphins

Isaac Guerendo ended up seeing most of the work in Week 15 despite his injury. Patrick Taylor ended up playing just three snaps. He'll get a lot more snaps this week as he'll step in as the top running back with Guerendo out. Taylor faces a Miami defense that is 8th in the NFL in rushing defense, allowing 104 rushing yards per game. The 49ers also have Ke'Shawn Vaughn and Israel Abanikanda in the mix. Taylor will have the upside but is a low-end RB3 at that with the questions on offense and the 49ers still not having Trent Williams.
