Bears counting on WR Earl Bennett

Earl Bennett didn't have a catch in his rookie season, but the Bears think he's ready to blossom and don't want to impede his growth with the addition of a veteran. Bennett is working at flanker and is moved into the slot on occasion. Bears WR Coach Drake called him a possession receiver who ''has some deceptive ability to get downfield.''

Per Bears head coach Matt Eberflus: Ryan Bates remains in the concussion protocol. Elijah Hicks (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (groin) won't practice.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on, as Johnson would have a huge workload if Swift were to miss Week 12. Homer has three rush attempts and zero targets on the year.
