Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made an early departure for the locker room prior to halftime of Monday night’s 23-3 win over the New York Jets.

“I was cramping all game,” Beckham said to Lisa Salters of ESPN. “I’ve been trying to stay hydrated, drinking more water and I just couldn’t find a way to not cramp. When I was running down there I was just praying I was going to make it. I gave it all I had and just had to kick it into overdrive.”

Fantasy Impact:

Beckham returned for the second half and finished the night with six catches for 161 yards and a touchdown. The story said Beckham has dealt with cramping and dehydration issues in games before, pointing to a Philly-Giants game last year.

Browns WR Rashard Higgins (knee) took limited practice reps again Friday. If Higgins is out, Damion Ratley would work as the team's WR3 behind Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry. If anything, Higgins' absence would probably boost Landry and David Njoku the most.

Beckham said that he is not running full speed yet, which is worrisome given that Week 1 is right around the corner. We'll see if this midweek downgrade is serious as the week of practice continues.

Wide receiver Derrick Willies entered training camp uncertain to make the 53-man roster. By the Aug. 3 scrimmage at FirstEnergy Stadium, he was already working with the first team alongside Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.

QB Baker Mayfield pointed out it's been obvious Willies worked hard in the offseason and showed up ready for camp. We have Willies fifth on our depth chart with Rashard Higgins and Antonio Callaway ahead of him.
