The Giants have ruled out Odell Beckham Jr. for Week 16 with a quad injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Unsurprising, but obviously still notable, Beckham being gone for championship week is a bummer for owners. Sterling Shephard and Evan Engram will see more work than usual, with the former checking in as a borderline WR2 and the latter a mid-range TE1 against a deceptively good Colts defense.

Giants WR Odell Beckham (quadricep) missed practice again Thursday. Beckham’s week is not off to a good start. If he’s out, it’s good news for Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram, though the Colts defense has been much improved this year.

Coach Shurmur: We’re hopeful Odell Beckham will work his way back for this Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Beckham is going through treatment and doing everything he can to get back, according to the rest of the tweet. In reality, though, it doesn't make much sense for the Giants to rush him back, but it's perhaps at least a good sign he hasn't been moved to IR yet.

The Giants have listed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (quad) as out for Week 15 against the Titans.

Fantasy Impact:

We expected this news, but it still stinks for his owners at the most critical juncture of the season thus far. Sterling Shepard vaults into the top-20 wide receivers in our rankings. Tight end Evan Engram also gets a sizeable bump into mid-range TE1 territory.

Giants WR Odell Beckham (quadricep) took limited practice reps Wednesday. Beckham’s limited practice gives him a chance to play on Sunday. If he returns, then Evan Engram and Sterling Shepard should go back to the bench in most formats.

Pat Shurmur said Odell Beckham Jr. came in today and “felt a lot better.”

Fantasy Impact:

Of course Beckham Is dealing with bruised quad and didn't play in Week 14. “We’ll see where that takes us.” Shurmur said via the tweet. Seems like much better news for Beckham owners this week, but obviously we'll have to monitor practice. The Giants take on the Titans on Sunday in an early game.

INJURY UPDATE: @OBJ has been ruled Out for #NYGvsWAS.
Odell Beckham appeared on the #NYGiants injury report with a bruised quadriceps and practiced on a limited basis. It was determined this morning he would not play in tomorrow’s game.

Keep on they look out for updated rankings after this news from Director of Forecasting John Paulsen. Shepard becomes the WR1 for the Giants with Barkley likely to also see increased targets.
