C. J. Uzomah’s rehabilitation from a torn Achilles is going well.
The Cincinnati Bengals tight end updated The Enquirer on his rehab process.
“It’s good, it’s really good. After talking to trainers and people, I’m ahead of schedule,” Uzomah told The Enquirer. “It’s really good. They like the progress with it. I’m walking and doing everything that they are saying. It’s going really well.”
Uzomah is expected to be cleared for full activity in March. The story went on to say Uzomah suffered a season-ending torn Achilles in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Cincinnati placed him on injured reserve on Sept. 18. Prior to his injury, Uzomah was off to the best two-game start of his career. The 6-foot-6 tight end had eight catches for 87 yards and one touchdown in two contests this year. The touchdown ball that he caught versus Cleveland was the first TD pass of quarterback Joe Burrow’s career.
