Is Bills HC Jauron's job on the line?

If the Bills get off to a poor start, it is reasonable that owner Ralph Wilson would at least strongly consider a head coaching change before the fans are in open rebellion.

No one expects Buffalo to win its opener at the Patriots on Monday, Sept. 14, but the fans will grow restless if the Bills lose to the rebuilding Bucs in the home opener Sept. 20. If the Bills can't put consistent pressure on Bucs QB Byron Leftwich, it would be a huge disappointment.

If the Bills somehow lose to Tampa Bay, the pressure would be on coach Dick Jauron heading into Week 3, when the high-powered Saints come to Ralph Wilson Stadium. That will be a very difficult matchup for the offensively challenged Bills.

For the record, the Bills have had four in-season coaching changes in their history, but none in a very long time.
