Blaine Gabbert hopes to be ready for Week 11

Blaine Gabbert, the Jaguars’ starting quarterback for the last 23 games, aggravated a left shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of a 27-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday. He left the game and did not return.

HC Mike Mularkey said he didn’t know the extent of the injury after the game. Gabbert had sustained a shoulder injury against Oakland October 21. He left that game, and played the last two games after practicing throughout the week.

Gabbert, who said he reinjured the same area he injured against Oakland, said he hopes to play against Houston November 18.

“I’m going to do my best and be ready to roll,” he said.

Fantasy Impact:

Chad Henne filled in for Gabbert and completed 10-of-16 passes for 121 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Neither QB will be an attractive start against a good Texans defense.
