Bronco's RB Montee Ball wasn't quite recovered from his appendectomy and now his groin strain means it will make it difficult for him to regain his featured-back role this year.
But it's possible for the Broncos to have a solid running game with Ronnie Hillman, Juwan Thompson and C.J. Anderson. Maybe not great. But the great part of this offense is taken care of.
It looks like Hillman will get his chances as the RB1, but the mailbag also talked about Thompson and how impressive he's looked. This obviously isn't good news for Ball owners who invested a lot in him this year. If you can afford to hold on to him, and hope Hillman and company don't light it up in the running game, it's possible we haven't heard the last from Ball. But the author doesn't seem optimistic on him recovering from the injuries enough to carry a big workload.
