Broncos WR Marshall facing trial this week

This week figures to be crucial to what the Broncos get from Brandon Marshall this season.

The greatest concern is his scheduled one-day trial Thursday in Atlanta on a misdemeanor battery charge. The incident occurred March 4, 2008, and alleges Marshall struck his former girlfriend.

That incident caused Marshall to serve a one-game suspension last season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, but league spokesman Greg Aiello has confirmed the wide receiver was told that a negative result from that charge could potentially lead to further discipline.
