Bucs to name starting QB this week

By the time tonight's preseason game against the Jaguars is over, the Bucs should be well on their way to deciding the winner of a quarterback derby that has been ongoing since the spring.

Either newcomer Byron Leftwich, tonight's starter at Jacksonville, or Luke Mccown, a longtime Bucs backup, is expected to be named the starter next week.

Per Bears head coach Matt Eberflus: Ryan Bates remains in the concussion protocol. Elijah Hicks (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (groin) won't practice.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on, as Johnson would have a huge workload if Swift were to miss Week 12. Homer has three rush attempts and zero targets on the year.
