Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones returned to practice on Tuesday for the first time since breaking his foot in a controlled scrimmage on Aug. 9.
He looked good and was moving well running through a series of position drills during the one-hour practice, which is the only one scheduled this week. The Bengals have a bye this week.
Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis had said following Sunday's 33-7 win over Tennessee that he expected Jones to return following the bye, which means he will likely be ready to play on Oct. 5 in New England (8:30 p.m.).
Jones was third on the team in receptions last season (51), second in receiving yards (712) and second in touchdown receptions (10).
Jones was one of John Paulsen's sleepers heading into drafts this season, but his injury might mean he's a forgotten man in your league. If he's still on your wire, he may be worth adding now if you're looking for WR help. While the Bengals have a bye Week 4, Jones appears to be on track to play in Week 5.
