The identity of the Lions' starting quarterback is a super-duper secret. Coach Jim Schwartz won't even say whether he has made a decision, let alone announce it.
After the Lions beat Buffalo, 17-6, in the exhibition finale Thursday night, Schwartz was asked whether he knows who his starting quarterback will be in the season-opener Sept. 13 at New Orleans.
"Um ... I don't know," Schwartz said. "I think I'll just keep that to myself."
But he knows, right?
"I'll keep whether I know to myself," Schwartz said. "It doesn't do us any good for us to either announce it or to say we've made a decision or anything like that. We'll make the decision when we feel the time's right, and we'll announce it when we feel the time's right."
