No word yet from One Bills Drive on Trent Edwards' condition after his Sunday concussion at the Meadowlands. The schedule in the interview room lists Edwards as one of the players who will be at the microphone for weekly press sessions. That doesn't necessarily mean he will be the starting quarterback on Sunday in Carolina. Dick Jauron likes to keep opponents in the dark as long as possible in these situations, as we discovered two years ago during the Edwards-Losman QB saga.
There is a lot of sentiment out there for Ryan Fitzpatrick to get his first start at QB, regardless of Edwards' status. Fitzpatrick led the Bills to a comeback win. He actually hit Lee Evans on a slant for a 37-yard touchdown. It's understandable that frustrated fans would want to see more of the guy from Harvard.
