Patriots "nearing" decision on starting QB

The Patriots are nearing a decision on their starting QB. Jerod Mayo said the team should know who it’ll be Monday night.

“It’s still a competition and Jacoby (Brissett) is still QB1,” Mayo said.

The decision shouldn't impact typical redraft leagues, but if Maye can take the job from Week 1, he presents an interesting floor-play for Superflex/2QB leagues.

Iosivas was pegged for more work last week, but his team-leading 35 routes led to a 3-26-0 stat line. That should look better against the Chiefs, but is probably still not worth serious fantasy consideration. Higgins, on the other hand, would be a fringe WR3/4 if he ends up suiting up.
