QB Walter signed, Gutierrez released

The Patriots have officially announced that they've signed free-agent quarterback Andrew Walter.

To make room for Walter, the team confirmed that Matt Gutierrez has been released.

Walter (6-6, 230) spent the last four seasons with Oakland. He entered the league in 2005 as a third-round draft choice out of Arizona State.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.
