Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart still looks strong when he runs, but he admitted Tuesday there's still some pain that will limit his camp routine.
After missing parts of his rookie training camp while coming back from toe surgery, Stewart missed all of minicamp and summer school with an Achilles problem that was a natural outgrowth of the previous injury.
Stewart said it was more of a nagging injury than anything serious, saying he felt much better than last year this time. When asked if the Achilles was still painful, he replied: “Yeah, it is.”
It hasn't seemed to hinder him in the two practices he's participated in thus far. But he took Monday's night session off before returning for Tuesday's single practice, and he said he's likely go once a day for the foreseeable future.
