John Ross responded to a tough week of criticism by scoring a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4.

He then limped off the field.

Ross returned but would later leave again. Speculation is it's a hamstring or groin injury. It's good news he was able to come back but not being able to finish makes him a questionmark for Week 5.

The Bengals also saw some sparks from Josh Malone, who had three catches for 41 yards, and Auden Tate, a 6-foot-5, 253-pound seventh-round draft pick whose big frame has impressed in camp.

Tate's night included a leaping grab that was negated by an offensive pass-interference penalty. But it was his contested reception for a 33-yard touchdown, caught right above the arms of the defender, that got his teammates talking.

Ross, who has been nursing a knee injury, finally got back on the field after practicing for the past two weeks. However, even though the Bengals were down two receivers due to Core's and Tyler Boyd's injuries, the Bengals still had five receivers active between A.J. Green, Brandon LaFell, Alex Erickson, Josh Malone, and Ross.
